Person-Centered Approach
My therapeutic style primarily derives from a Person-Centered Approach taking into account the person as a whole considering their life experiences, age, gender, culture, heritage, beliefs and identities. I use a non-authoritative approach, however, as therapeutic trust is established, I will challenge and ask difficult questions to help facilitate solutions and deconstruct negative thought/behavior patterns. Listening is my superpower, and through that I can help bring to the forefront unconscious beliefs that are no longer serving you. My therapy style is catered to the individual and I will pull from other modalities as needed such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
My goal is to provide a safe space where you can be honest with yourself and face challenges head on. I encourage and applaud authenticity, so there is no need to apologize or refrain from cursing or crying in session. Let it all out!
